There are many ways to give to the museum, and we appreciate all of them! The following is a quick guideline to the easiest ways to support the museum:
The museum gladly accepts donations towards its ongoing operations, educational programming and artifact care. If you wish to support these ongoing missions, we invite you to send donations to the following address:
1443 Main Street
Lander, WY 82520
We also welcome donations of services, office equipment and other incidentals to keep this place running smoothly. Please contact our director at info@fcpm.org if you are interested in offering services or equipment to the museum.
You may also make a secure online donation or set-up a recurring pledge through our partnership at DonorTownSquare.org by clicking below.

Interested in donating an item to the Pioneer Museum? Thank you for thinking of us! Before you call to make an appointment, please see below several of our frequently asked questions.
What are the steps I need to take to donate an item to the museum?
1. Make sure your item meets the following donation standards:
• Items must relate to our mission statement. Click here to view our mission statement.
• Items must have a solid connection with the Lander area. Preferably each item will have an interesting story that can be used to tell the story of Lander residents or the area.
• Items will preferably not be after the 1970’s era.
• Items must be in good condition. The museum does not have the resources to repair items in poor condition.
• Items similar to those we already have will only be accepted if the item has a particularly interesting story or if the item is in better condition than the existing items the museum has.
• Books are only accepted if they can assist the research team in general research for exhibits or if they relate directly to early Wyoming and specifically Lander area history.
2. My object meets the above requirements. Now what do I do?
• Collect as much history about the item as you can and if possible please write it down. Gather any pictures or corresponding documents that you have. The more information you can provide about an item, the more likely it is to be placed in an exhibit.
• All donations are by appointment only. Please call to set up an appointment or to discuss a possible donation. We can be reached at 307-332-3373 or info@fcpm.org.
• All items must be approved by the Artifact Recommendation Committee before being accepted as a permanent donation by the museum.
• All arrangements for donations must be made through the artifact owner or agent. Third party donations must be pre-approved by the curator.
Will the museum take my object on loan if I don’t want to donate it?
The museum does not accept loans unless an item is to be used immediately in an exhibit. Due to the time and cost incurred in storage and proper preservation of an item, the museum cannot accept loans of objects that will not be used immediately.
If you have questions or need further information please call 307-332-3373 or email info@fcpm.org to speak with a staff member.
